In the summer of 2015, we again greatly expanded our exhibit to include all genres of Black music from Monmouth County, New Jersey, (1880 to 1980) and moved it to the Monmouth County Historical Association Museum in Freehold, NJ. This time we again had the backing of a museum and a very fine professional museum designer, Stan Cain. The Asbury Park Historical Society had the old Turf Club marquee restored and we lit it during the opening exhibit. The opening reception drew a couple hundred people and local jazz icon played sax during the lighting. We had a number of activities around the exhibit which was up until the Fall. We had curator’s tours for classes of school students, an outdoor curators multimedia presentation and an our acappella concert by Quiet Storm on the lawn. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we thank the Monmouth County Historical Association Museum for their hard work and belief in us.
