Those of us who have many great memories of great music and friendships down at the South Philly Doo Wop Club are thrilled at the thought of the return of this doo wop institution! On Wednesday evening, February 28, 2024, the South Philly String Band Doo Wop Club returns with special appearances by Billy Carlucci, Timeless, Stevie Doowop, Patt Thompson and Down on the Corner. DJ for the evening is Jim Bakay of WRDV-FM and the host is Johnny Midnight. Doors open at 6:30 PM. The location is 2820 Porter St, Philadelphia PA. Admission is $10 and includes pizza and a cash bar.
