In what looks like the acappella doo wop event of the year, Monmouth University presents Doo Wop Explosion: A Night Of Acappella Harmony featuring six of the area’s top doo wop acappella groups including QUIET STORM, FRANKIE & THE FASHIONS, CHOICE, THE TEE-TONES, RE-MEMBERTHEN, THE VIC DONNA GROUP and special guest LARRY CHANCE of the Earls singing an all-acappella set backed by Re-MemberThen. Plus, by giant screen video, DE’SEAN DOOLEY, star of the musical “Soul Harmony” and grandson of Orioles lead Sonny Til singing Orioles songs acappella backed by Quiet Storm. The event is produced and emceed by Classic Urban Harmony’s Charlie & Pam Horner.
