Under The Streetlamp: Our Doo Wop Music Exhibit, Franklin Township Library, Somerset, NJ, August 2008

In August 2008, we prepared to give our Classic Urban Harmony multimedia presentation, “Under The Streetlamp: Tales From the Doo Wop Era” at the Franklin Township Public Library in Somerset, New Jersey, for the first time. As we were virtually unknown then to that library’s audience, we asked if we could use one of their display area to advertise our upcoming talk. The library was thrilled, and we set up a display, behind the glass, with as much doo wop memorabilia as we could fit in. The little exhibit was a huge success and we packed the community room with a standing room only crowd to hear our talk. By the way, our first library exhibit was the talk of the town!
