Mills Brothers Exhibit, Virginia Beach, VA, Summer 2003

In the summer of 2003, the Remembering the Mills Brothers Society held its convention in Virginia Beach, VA,. Charlie Horner gave a multimedia presentation there on the history of early black vocal groups including the Mills Brothers. Around the room, various Mills Brothers artifacts from the Classic Urban Harmony Archives were displayed. Unfortunately, we don’t have close up photos of the exhibited material but you can see some in the backgrounds of these few photos. The featured piece was an original 1934 poster from when the Mills Brothers played a Command Performance for the King and Queen of England at the London Palladium.
