Don’t miss what is sure to be the music event of the year – the East Coast Music Hall Of Fame first annual Awards Gala. It combines the presenting of 16 Lifetime Achievement Awards and Legends Awards (voted for by our Ambassador Members) with a huge concert by nearly 20 stars. Lifetime Achievement Awards will honor Bobby Rydell, Charlie Gracie, Chubby Checker, Connie Francis, Frankie Avalon, Jay Siegel, Joey Dee, Larry Chance, Lou Christie, Vito Picone and posthumously honor Eugene Pitt, Jimmy Beaumont, Johnny Maestro, Richard Nader and Ronnie I Italiano. Most of the living honorees will be there to accept their awards. We, Classic Urban Harmony’s Pamela & Charlie Horner, are scheduled to present the award to Willie Winfield.
In addition there will be awards given out in 13 “Legends” categories. Visit the organization’s website, www.ecmhof.org to see who is in the running for those awards. And while you’re on that website, why not join the East Coast Music Hall Of Fame as an Ambassador Member so you can take part in the voting? It only takes a small donation of $25 or more. Becoming a member helps support all of our activities including the establishing of a Museum in Wildwood, NJ. I (Charlie) am on the Board of Directors of the ECMHOF and Pam and I chair the Museum Committee.
Performing during the ceremonies are the following artists: The Brooklyn Bridge, the Duprees, Jay Siegel’s Tokens, Lou Christie, Quiet Storm, Larry Chance & the Earls, the Skyliners, Vito Picone & the Elegants, Joey Dee, Stan Zizka & the Del Satins, Kid Kyle, Bobby Wilson, Theresa McClean, Johnny Gale, Vinnie Medugno, Emil Stucchio & the Classics, Sal Valentinetti, and a special video appearance by Kenny Vance. The Mark Baron Orchestra will supply the music.
It all takes place on Wednesday evening, June 5, 2019, at the Wildwood Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood NJ. Doors open at 5:30 PM, show begins at 7 PM. Tickets can be ordered through Ticketmaster.com
