Mourning the loss of our good friend, Shelly Buchansky, who passed away January 1, 2019, at the age of 76. Shelly is best known as the great second tenor of Vito & the Salutations and was on most of their recordings including “Unchained Melody”. Shelly also sang with a number of other groups including the 5 Discs and Grand Central Echoes. One of the nicest guys you’d ever want to meet, Shelly always had a smile on his face. And he loved to sing. We’d known Shelly since the 1980’s at UGHA. He frequently attended our multimedia doo wop presentations and even volunteered to sing at our 5th wedding anniversary, backed by the Vic Donna Group. Shelly last sang for us at our Doo Wop Explosion 2 acappella concert at Monmouth University on March 4, 2017. We’ve included some photos from that event here. We attended a beautiful service today memorializing our friend. We miss you, Shelly – Charlie & Pam
