at Nite Open Mic Night

We've been hearing a lot of good things about Nick at Night's
Doo Wop Open Mic Night at Harold's Restaurant in the Holiday Inn, 707 Route
46 East in Parsippany, NJ, so thought we'd check it out. Of course,
Nick at Night also hosts the New Jersey Doo Wop and Street Corner Harmony
Association shows each month (visit
NJ Doo Wop to see photos of the monthly
shows), but Open Mic Night is quite different. This is doo wop
Kareokee and it's a lot of fun! Whether you sing in an established doo
wop vocal group or just want to sing for fun, there's a spot for everyone.
Nick at Night puts on a track and anyone who wants can get up and sing to
it. There are always plenty of vocal group singers around to provide
backup. The night we attended there were members of Back In Tyme,
Frankie Canta & the DreaMakers and our old friend Eddie Brian from the
Ducanes. Open Mic Night is usually every Thursday from 8 to 11:30 PM,
