The Asbury Park Museum is thrilled to present a talk and book signing by author, Billy Terrell at 3 PM, Saturday February 16. Singer, songwriter, producer and comedian, Billy Terrell has spent much of his life in and around Asbury Park. His collaborations with Ray Dahrouge are well known to fans of soul music. But the extent of Billy’s music contributions is enormous. Billy Terrell has written or produced songs by the Duprees, Shangri-Las, Debby Taylor, the Three Degrees, Darryl Stewart, Timothy Wilson, Vivian Copeland, the Manhattans, Phil Flowers, the Persians, the Whatnauts, the Moments, Barbara Jean English, Frankie Avalon, the Rhythm Makers, Gary Chris, the Angels, Betty LeVette, Diane Renay, Levert, George Kerr, Helen Reddy, Bobby Rydell and dozens of others. Billy’s autobiography is more than just a recounting of his music career. It’s an inspiring story of how one man overcame poverty, bullying and the horrors of the Vietnam War to excel in the world of music and entertainment. This is a fabulous read and we look forward to hearing Billy talk about his experiences on February 16. The event is FREE to attend. The Asbury Park Museum is at 1200 Ocean Avenue, accessible only from the Boardwalk.
