The Goodfellas Doo Wop Club will honor the great songwriter Billy Dawn Smith for his outstanding contributions to the music industry with a big celebration at Woodhaven Manor, 96-01 Jamaica Avenue, Woodhaven, NY 11421. There’ll be appearances by Poogie Hudson’s Spaniels, Willie Winfield, Milton Love, Tony Middleton, Bill Witt, the Teetones, Silver Fox, Joel Katz, the Tribunes, the Supergirls, Eulis Mason. the Dolphins, Nostalgix, New Shades Of Soul and the Chords [Guests subject to change]. It’s hosted by Alex Augustine and takes place May 15 from Noon to 4 PM. $45 includes a full buffet. Billy Dawn Smith has written over 700 sings including “To The Aisle” by the Five Satins and most of the Crests records.
