The South Philly String Band Club has scheduled a beef and beer show to benefit of our friend Tony Russo of the great doo wop group, Frankie & The Fashions. Tony is battling stomach cancer as a result of exposure to Agent Orange while was serving in the Army in Viet Nam. Frankie & The Fashions and Tony & The Travelers will each be singing a set and Jim Bakay will DJ. A donation of $30.00 is suggested at the door on a first come basis so come early. There are no advanced reservations.. It all takes place Sunday June 9 from 2 – 6 PM at the South Philly String Band Club, 2820 Porter Street, Philadelphia PA.
