Part 4 - The Dinner


 

We have restricted our identification of people in the following photos to those well known to the group harmony scene.  If you would like to be identified beneath the photos and weren't, please drop us an email and we'll be glad to mention you.

Following the reception, all of the guests moved into the main ballroom.  Each guest had picked up a table card with their name and a photo of a rare record label on it.  The record label corresponded to the table designation, as noted by a framed label on each table.  When everyone was seated, we (Pam & Charlie) entered the ballroom from a grand stairway to the song, "Partners For Life" by Hank Ballard & the Midnighters.

We chose Chicago's legendary Chance label for our table since it is part of our Classic Urban Harmony logo.  At our table were seated family and friends, including Mr. & Mrs. Doc Robinson (Master-Tones).

The Palace provided a gourmet meal, starting with a choice of salad and appetizers (potato crusted crab cake with micro arugula & fennel salad with stone ground mustard & herb vinaigrette OR warm grilled eggplant with boursin cheeze and oven dried tomato bundle with red tomato emulsion and herb salad.

For an entree, guests had a choice of an herb seared filet of beef, fingerling potato confit, tomato, parmesan and eggplant gateau with sweet port wine glaze OR herb roasted crispy skin salmon with preserved lemon, five select wild mushrooms and chive whipped potatoes with olive oil and fresh thyme.

Deserts included either a Warm Granny Smith Apple and Almond Tart, baked apple and almond cream with rum raisin ice cream OR Warm Chocolate Nirvana, flourless chocolate cake, liquid ganache center with sweet cherry ice cream.

Dancing followed with group harmony songs spin by DJ and MC, King Arthur.  Some of the many celebrities in attendance were also acknowledged at this time, while their records were played.
