Norman
& Peggy Burnette's 2009 Annual BBQ
When our friends Norman and Peggy Burnett hold their annual
end of the year BBQ in south Jersey, it always turns out to be one of the
rhythm & blues social events of the year. Norman Burnett was one of the
founding members of the great Philadelphia vocal group, the Tymes, and he
still has the group going strong. Attendance at the Burnett cookouts is
like a "Who's Who" of the Philadelphia music scene and each year we look
forward to going there to meet old friends and make new ones.
In the course of one afternoon we couldn't possibly talk to
everyone who was there. Instead we are more than content to sample the
great food and enjoy the company of many who share our love of music.
Our sincere thanks to Norman and Peggy Burnett for holding this get-together
and for giving us permission to share some of our photos with our website
audience.
