The
Don Leins & Denise Cappone Wedding
Philadelphia, June 19, 2010
by Pamela Horner
Long time bachelor Don Leins married his sweetheart Denise
Cappone on a beautiful day in June, 2010. The ceremony and reception
were held in Fairmount Park, at the Centennial Cafe at the Ohio House.
The Ohio House is rich in history, dating to the Philadelphia 1876
Centennial. It is one of only two surviving exhibition buildings in
Fairmount Park.
Don Leins is well known to Philadelphia fans
of group harmony. During the late 1970's and early 1980's Don
co-produced and co-hosted Charlie Horner's WXPN radio program.
The marriage ceremony took place on the steps
of the Ohio House. Friends and family were seated under a beautifully
decorated white outdoor tent. Afterwards, a buffet dinner was served
and the vocal group Neighbors Complaint provided entertainment.
Neighbors Complaint has special significance, since Don and Charlie helped
guide the group early in their career. In fact, Don and Charlie were
made honorary members of the group more than twenty-five years ago.
We had a fabulous time and wish much
happiness to the bride and groom. Congratulations Denise and Don!
