For great harmony and good music in
New Jersey you can't go wrong by catching a show by the 4 Man Trio. This
self contained vocal group and band led by our friend John Clemente is always
one of the most entertaining acts around. On Friday night, June 26, we
drove to Dover, New Jersey, to see this fine group and we weren't
disappointed.
On this night, the 4 Man Trio was performing at Attilio's
Tavern. The Four Man Trio sang a mix of fifties and sixties songs with
emphases on great harmony tunes.
Some of our favorites were "Oh What
A Night," "Lovers Never Say Goodbye," "Please Write," "Morse Code Of Love,"
and "Gee (But I'd Give the World)". In listening to this group it's not
difficult to believe that individual members of the Four Man Trio have each
been performing for thirty years. They've been together as the Four Man
Trio since 2003. We've seen the group sing many times and we never tire
of them.
Four Man Trio is composed of John
Clemente (lead singer and percussions), Bob Roman (bass guitar & vocals), Joe
Cimo (guitar & vocals) and Joey Rizzo (drums & vocals). John Clemente is
also a music historian and author of "Girl Groups: Fabulous Females That
Rocked the World."
