What a way to celebrate!  Classic Urban Harmony LLC marked it’s 10th Anniversary with a spectacular gala at Roxy & Dukes in Dunellen NJ on August 12, 2018.  The club was packed to capacity with all of our friends there to congratulate us and party it up!  We had the Vic Donna Group there singing two spectacular acappella sets of songs you don’t hear others groups sing.  Re-MemberThen also favored us with a couple of strong numbers on a night that also marked our third anniversary of acappella at Roxy & Dukes.  And since August 12 was National Vinyl Record Day, we had a release party for Joel Katz & the Dynamics new vinyl 45 on the Street Corner Entertainment label..

This was the Vic Donna Group’s return to the stage after a two year absence and were they superb!  Specializing in more obscure songs that you don’t often hear other groups sing, the Vic Donna Group sang all acappella as a special request from us.  For their first set they sang “Make Me Lose My Mind” (Nutmegs), “Love Will Make Your Mind Go Wild” (Penguins), “Honey Love” (Drifters), “Have You No Heart” (Calvanes), “With All My Heart” (Captans), “You’re Mine” (Shirley Gunther & Queens), and “Souvenirs”

After a short break, Tony O read a message to Joel Katz from Steve Dunham.  Steve and Tony are the co-owners of Street Corner Entertainment, the record label that released Joel’s latest record.  The record was on sale at this event in either green, violet or multicolor vinyl.

Pam Horner then drew a number of door prizes.  Winners got to choose either a new Classic Urban Harmony cap (designed by Elliot Matlin) or records donated by Ray Block and Ken Thompson.

The second half of the evening started out with Re-MemberThen rendering two powerful songs acappella; “Lost Love” and “I Believe”.  The Vic Donna Group then again took the stage, mesmerizing the crowd with “Stormy Weather,” “The Gypsy,” “Walking My Baby Back Home,” “Fools Fall In Love.” “Just For A Thrill,” “I’ll Never Tell,” “Don’t Say Goodnight” and “What’ch Gonna Do”.

Thanks to all who came out and helped make this 10th anniversary celebration so great.  Can’t wait to see what the next 10 years will bring!
