Asbury Parks’ own soul harmony group, the Broadways – Billy Brown, Ron Coleman, Leon Trent and Robert Conti – have released their first new song in almost 50 years and it is fabulous!  The Broadways were once the hottest group in Asbury Park back in the mid-1960’s when they scored with recordings like “Going Going Gone” and “You Just Don’t Know”  They were so big that Bruce Springsteen (with the Castilles) opened for them!  Billy Brown left the group to join the Moments (later Ray Goodman & Brown).

Now after almost 50 years, the Broadways have reunited to give us a Christmas present – a great new Christmas harmony ballad called “Merry Christmas Baby Jesus”.
It was written by Ronald Coleman and co-written by Tom Jones.  Music by Tom Jones.  Video by Bruce Booker.  Video assistance by Derrick “Cool Breeze” Coleman.

Watch the video below.  Thank you Broadways, and Merry Christmas!
