For Christmas 2016 in Fairmount Park (Philadelphia, PA), six decked-out 18th- and 19th-century park mansions — Strawberry Mansion, Cedar Grove, Mount Pleasant, Laurel Hill, Lemon Hill and Woodford Mansion — opened their doors for holiday treats and tours. During the Fairmount Park Conservancy’s  “A Very Philly Christmas”, each day boasted a different theme: music, food, family and neighbors.  On Saturday, December 3, 2016, the historic houses hosted “Sounds of the Season”, co-sponsored by WRTI, celebrating the musical diversity of the city with participation by Opera Philadelphia, the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, Artístas y Músicos Latino Americanos, the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and the Performing Arts, the Mummers and our own acappella .doo wop group “Quiet Storm”.  Each mansion featured a different style of music.  Quiet Storm sang at the Laurel Hill Mansion, 7210 Randolph Drive, in Fairmount Park.

Naturally, Classic Urban Harmony was there to cover the action. We took lots of photos in each mansion and even took a couple videos of Quiet Storm singing “White Christmas” and “Unchained Melody”.  Take a look at the photos below and then scroll down to watch the videos.  Click on any photo to enlarge and then use the left and right arrow to see other photos.  Enjoy, and, Merry Christmas!
